About
Nebby's Better PBR is a Minecraft resource pack that adds normal and specular maps to give Java Edition textures a more RTX-like appearance when used with shaders. Its LabPBR-based textures cover a broad range of blocks and items, including planks, logs, Nether stems, doors, barrels, pistons, ancient debris, concrete powder, corals, glazed terracotta, redstone items, hoes, and a turtle shell. Gallery examples also include gold and diamond blocks, purpur, smithing and crafting tables, sea lanterns, rails, hives, lodestones, basalt, and chiselled red sandstone. The maps encode material properties such as surface normals, smoothness, reflectance, and, where provided, effects including ambient occlusion, height, porosity, subsurface scattering, and emission, allowing compatible shaders to render surface detail, reflections, wetness, and glow. The pack is still in development, so some blocks may not yet have custom textures.
