A PvP pack with smaller fire, totem pops, and quieter effects.
No points lost.
55.8 of the 56 points that apply = 99.6, so 99 out of 100: only a project that lost no point gets 100. The points above are rounded to whole numbers.
PvP Basics is a vanilla-style resource pack that brings a collection of practical visual and audio tweaks for player-versus-player combat together in one pack. It lowers fire both on the ground and in first person, reduces shield size, removes smoke, explosion and eating particles, and makes explosion sounds quieter. It also makes the totem pop and its particles smaller, darkens cobwebs, adds a blue glow to glowstone dust, clarifies the powered-snow overlay, and removes the fishing bobber. The pack keeps the standard crosshair and avoids miniaturized items, focusing its changes on combat visibility and effects rather than a broader visual overhaul.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Changes 4 block textures (Fire and Soul fire), 6 item textures (Bow pulling and Crossbow pulling), 44 particle textures and 42 models.
Adds 1 item texture, 2 models and 4 sounds.
Block textures are mostly 16 by 16 pixels. 4 block and item textures are animated.
No harmful code found
We checked what is inside its files, without opening them in the game.
Why we show this: a resource pack cannot run programs, but its file can hide one. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade.
Sends nothing
A resource pack has no code that can connect to the internet, so it cannot send anything about you.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

Modpacks that include PvP Basics in at least one of their versions, most downloaded first.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 2 releases needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This counts in the grade, but it is too few to lose points.
