Scientific Sky Simulator is a resource pack that brings an interactive, astronomy-inspired star map to Minecraft, showing the night sky as a changing celestial scene rather than a static backdrop. Its large starfield map is based on realistic starry-sky photography, with detailed parallax that gives the mapped sky a sense of depth. The Sun, Moon and stars move along defined tracks, so different parts of the celestial sphere appear over the course of the day and year, and the Milky Way gradually rises above the horizon annually. Atmospheric light is layered into the sky, including daytime and nighttime glow, rosy dawn and afterglow, while the Sun and Moon are rendered at an apparent size of 0.5 degrees. At night, the scene includes dense fields of stars and features such as the Andromeda Galaxy, Triangulum Galaxy, Large and Small Magellanic Clouds, nebulae and Polaris.

It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.13 to 1.18.1.
Changes the sun, the moon and the clouds.

We checked what is inside its files, without opening them in the game.
Why we show this: a resource pack cannot run programs, but its file can hide one. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade.
Sends nothing
A resource pack has no code that can connect to the internet, so it cannot send anything about you.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
