SMP Utils is a vanilla-style resource pack focused on quality-of-life changes for SMP and PvP play. It adds ore borders, a brighter Nether, smaller grass, blue powdered-snow indicators, and visual markers for tripwire and trapped chests; its brewing-stand guide shows how to make every potion, and wither hearts are easier to see. For a clearer view during play, it lowers the on-screen fire and shield, reduces the totem-pop animation, minimizes rain and snow, removes explosion particles and the fishing-rod bobber, and clears the pumpkin and spyglass overlays. It also makes explosion, rain, and fire-hurt sounds quieter.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Changes 45 block textures, 3 mob and entity textures (Chest), 8 interface textures, 16 particle textures, rain and snow, 25 models and 4 other files.
Adds 1 block texture, 2 item textures, 1 mob and entity texture, 2 interface textures, 1 model, 11 sounds and 122 language files.
Block textures are mostly 16 by 16 pixels. 4 block and item textures are animated.
No harmful code found
We checked what is inside its files, without opening them in the game.
Why we show this: a resource pack cannot run programs, but its file can hide one. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade.
Sends nothing
A resource pack has no code that can connect to the internet, so it cannot send anything about you.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

Modpacks that include SMP Utils in at least one of their versions, most downloaded first.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 2 releases needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This counts in the grade, but it is too few to lose points.
