Spook's Bare Bones AddOn Pack extends the Bare Bones resource pack with additional visual features rather than supplying Bare Bones textures itself. It adds connected textures and block variations for glass, bookshelves, bricks, stone and mossy stone bricks, cobblestone, ores, walls, and Nether blocks, with overlays that blend materials such as sandstone, stone, and cobblestone. Biome-aware color maps change the appearance of stone, cobblestone, stone bricks, and supported ores, while biome-based mob textures give creatures such as cows, pigs, skeletons, villagers, and wolves region-specific looks. The mob variations include examples such as badlands bison, forest boars, desert mummies, and mossy or vine-covered jungle skeletons, alongside multiple variants for many other mobs. Nether and desert areas receive their own visual treatments, including red-tinted Nether gravel, varied Nether Wart growth colors, Nether-specific mushrooms, wavy desert sand, sandstone-connected textures, and cactus and dead-bush variants. Mobs and several items have emissive textures, and the pack also includes a black-and-transparent interface for menus, with a red tint to the Nether interface. Other touches include connected glowstone, glowing pumpkin tops, detailed wall tops, and alternative texture options for cobblestone, gravel, Nether bricks, and biome color maps. Most of its connected-texture and random-mob features rely on OptiFine.
