Aurora is a shader focused on refining Minecraft’s lighting and visual atmosphere, with high-resolution, sharply defined shadows and performance-conscious rendering. Its overworld skies include ray-marched cumulus clouds that respond to weather, soft cloud shadows, and a procedural night sky with vertical curtains of light. Water features animated waves, angle-dependent screen-space reflections, refraction, and depth-based colour absorption, while rain can make exposed ground glossy and form reflective puddles. The Nether receives warm lava lighting and a shifting, recessed-looking portal effect; the End has purple ambient light and a procedural void sky. Additional effects include directional ambient lighting, sun glints, contact shadows, bloom, sharpening, colour grading, and optional depth of field, which is off by default. The in-game shader menu provides 72 options across six screens, and individual effects can be switched off to adjust the look or performance.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
Changes how the game looks: 39 shader programs, for the Overworld, the Nether and the End. Draws its own shadows, water, sky, clouds and weather.

No harmful code found
We checked what is inside its files, without opening them in the game.
Why we show this: a shader cannot run programs, but its file can hide one. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade.
Sends nothing
A shader has no code that can connect to the internet, so it cannot send anything about you.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
