Baked Potato Shaders is a lightweight cinematic shader pack that enhances Minecraft’s atmosphere while keeping its visuals close to the game’s original style and prioritizing smooth performance. In the Overworld, it adds natural color grading, changing time-of-day lighting, polished sun and moon effects, animated stars, dynamic clouds, and atmospheric fog, with rare auroras and rainbows appearing after rainfall. Weather effects include overcast skies, rendered rainfall, white lightning, rain haze, and subtle distance blur during storms, with smoother transitions between conditions. Water is clearer above and below the surface, with subtle animated waves and lightweight reflections, while held light sources illuminate the surrounding environment. Caves receive enhanced lighting and blended darkness, and the Nether has its own lighting and fog, an improved Basalt Delta ambience, and heat distortion around lava. The End’s redesigned sky features a deep-space atmosphere, enhanced stars, large blended nebulae, and dimension-specific fog and color blending. The pack is optimized for Apple Silicon and is compatible with Iris and Sodium.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Changes how the game looks: 27 shader programs, the dimensions are not stated in the pack. Draws its own shadows, water, sky, clouds and weather.
Settings in English.
No harmful code found
We checked what is inside its files, without opening them in the game.
Why we show this: a shader cannot run programs, but its file can hide one. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade.
Sends nothing
A shader has no code that can connect to the internet, so it cannot send anything about you.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
