A retro CRT look turns your world into a glowing monochrome screen.

CRT Monochrome Shaderpack transforms Minecraft into a high-contrast, monochrome CRT-style display, using depth-based edge detection and thresholding to render illuminated geometry against a black void. Its default Apple-green phosphor look is paired with simulated screen curvature, scrolling scanlines, edge color fringing and corner darkening. Shader options let you mix the phosphor color, with examples including amber, Macintosh-style white and neon purple, and adjust contrast sensitivity, the distance at which the world fades to black, and CRT effect strength. The pack keeps GPU demands low by omitting standard lighting, shadows and physically based rendering calculations.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Changes how the game looks: 9 shader programs, the dimensions are not stated in the pack. Draws its own water and sky.
Settings in English.
No harmful code found
We checked what is inside its files, without opening them in the game.
Why we show this: a shader cannot run programs, but its file can hide one. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade.
Sends nothing
A shader has no code that can connect to the internet, so it cannot send anything about you.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
