FS shaders is a performance-focused shader pack for Minecraft Java that gives the world more cinematic, realistic lighting while aiming to remain usable on mid-range hardware. It adds soft, smoothly filtered sun and moon shadows, a time-varying sky with procedural clouds that grow grayer and thicker in storms, and volumetric light and atmospheric effects. Water and glass receive screen-space reflections, with rippling water that shifts from dark head-on to mirror-like at shallow viewing angles; rain also makes exposed surfaces darker, glossier, and reflective of sunlight, moonlight, and nearby torches. Ice has stronger reflections and a slowly moving, partially liquid-looking surface, while wind makes leaves flutter, grass and plants sway, and sand shimmer subtly. Bloom and filmic color grading, including ACES tonemapping, complete the look, with scenes ranging from reflective cherry-grove nights to warm golden-hour light and rainy weather. The shader pack is designed for OptiFine or Iris with Sodium.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Changes how the game looks: 39 shader programs, for the Overworld, the Nether and the End. Draws its own shadows, water, sky and weather.
Settings in English. Has programs for Distant Horizons.
No harmful code found
We checked what is inside its files, without opening them in the game.
Why we show this: a shader cannot run programs, but its file can hide one. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade.
Sends nothing
A shader has no code that can connect to the internet, so it cannot send anything about you.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

Modpacks that include FS shaders in at least one of their versions, most downloaded first.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
