Karma Shader Nightmare is a cinematic, semi-realistic horror shaderpack that reshapes Minecraft into an oppressive survival experience, with dark atmospheres and a world that responds to fear. Remaining in pitch-black darkness raises fear, warping vision, making shadows crawl, and revealing glowing eyes in cave walls that can be warded off with light. At night in deep woods, Ghost Faces, tall Shadow Figures, and lidless Watcher Eyes appear in the distance and dissolve as the player approaches. Low, true 3D fog banks drift with the wind and thicken during storms, while rare Blood Moon nights bathe the landscape in crimson. The Nether becomes the Ash Hell, lit only by lava amid falling ash and rising columns of black smoke. In the End, a volumetric black ocean replaces the sky; ripples from unseen figures walking above send columns of light down onto the islands. Desaturated cinematic grading emphasizes blood and fire reds, jaundice highlights and teal shadows, with breathing vignettes, analog film grain, and a red death-throb when health is low.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
Changes how the game looks: 14 shader programs, for the Nether and the End. Draws its own shadows, water, sky and clouds.
No harmful code found
We checked what is inside its files, without opening them in the game.
Why we show this: a shader cannot run programs, but its file can hide one. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade.
Sends nothing
A shader has no code that can connect to the internet, so it cannot send anything about you.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
