Koto is a lightweight pastel anime-style shader that keeps Minecraft’s familiar world while transforming its lighting, skies, water, and overall color. It adds soft shadows, volumetric light and fog, a square pixel-art sun that changes color through the day, golden-tinted sunset clouds, and hand-held light from torches, lanterns, glowstone, and other light blocks. Water features real-time reflections and animated waves, with distant water settling into a calm mirror; reflections of village lights and surrounding landscapes help shape the Overworld at night and across the horizon. The Nether has its own sky, red nebulae and floating embers above the roof, while lava oceans, fire, glowstone, and lavafalls cast distinct light; the End pairs its own sky and aurora with readable terrain and the dragon among the obsidian pillars.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
Changes how the game looks: 32 shader programs, the dimensions are not stated in the pack. Draws its own shadows, water, sky, clouds and weather.
Settings in English and Portuguese.
No harmful code found
We checked what is inside its files, without opening them in the game.
Why we show this: a shader cannot run programs, but its file can hide one. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade.
Sends nothing
A shader has no code that can connect to the internet, so it cannot send anything about you.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
