About
Lyrae is a physically based shaderpack that renders Minecraft lighting with real-time voxel path tracing and multiple-bounce global illumination. Its lighting can show sunlight color bleeding across a scene, colored light from stained glass, and illumination through windows, while its tracing also handles detailed non-full voxels and normal mapping. The shader uses blue-noise sampling and a configurable SVGF denoiser to stabilize the image, with next-event estimation for explicit sun sampling. Its unified physically based material pipeline supports LabPBR resource packs, and its post-processing includes filmic tonemapping, color grading, automatic exposure, and chromatic aberration. Lyrae is in early alpha, so users should expect visual artifacts and performance that can vary.
