    About

    Recastional is a cinematic shader pack that reshapes Minecraft’s lighting, skies, water, and surfaces to give the world a warm, atmospheric look. Sunrise and sunset bring soft golden rays through the clouds, while volumetric skies, atmospheric fog, and dynamic rain and snow change the scene’s mood. Water uses real-time reflections, refractions, and caustics, and its shifting shadows, parallax terrain mapping, and physically based shading add depth and surface detail. The pack also includes physics-based particles, glowing effects for special entities and flora, and post-processing such as HDR color grading, bloom, and depth of field. Performance options include distance-based level of detail, hardware-specific optimization, and dynamic quality scaling, while modular configuration files let users adjust rendering and performance settings. For its highest-quality visuals, Recastional works best with Iris or OptiFine, and those settings can be demanding on hardware.
