Unbound Visual+ is a visual modification of Complementary Unbound that adds distinct effects and richer color saturation while retaining the original shader as its foundation. Its lighting combines global illumination, including Monte Carlo GI and screen-space GI, with colored lighting, ambient occlusion, and adjustable GI intensity; the path-tracing variant also offers ray-traced ambient occlusion, irradiance caching, and photon maps. Visual details include volumetric god rays and fog, reflections on water and metal, player self-reflection, and more vivid light from sources such as lava and Nether portals. Other effects include shooting stars at night, animated lava, rain and thunderstorm splash distortion, clearer blue underwater scenes, more visible glowing ores, and flickering torches and lanterns. Profiles range from Low for less capable systems to Ultra for the full Visual+ look, with Cinematic tuned for scenic views and recording. A separate path-tracing version is designed for high-end systems, and the reflection self-reflection technique is still being refined, with reported rendering issues.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Changes how the game looks: 47 shader programs, for the Overworld, the Nether and the End. Draws its own shadows, water, sky, clouds and weather.
Settings in English and Indonesian. Has programs for Distant Horizons and Voxy.
No harmful code found
We checked what is inside its files, without opening them in the game.
Why we show this: a shader cannot run programs, but its file can hide one. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade.
Sends nothing
A shader has no code that can connect to the internet, so it cannot send anything about you.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
