Alfheim is a Botania add-on that opens a portal to a dimension inspired by the elves of Scandinavian mythology, where players can explore its story and find materials otherwise available only through a special trading gate. The dimension includes plains and forest subbiomes, elves, a castle by the portal, caves with vertical lava pits, and forests whose glowing dreamwood leaves help light the way at night. Players can learn mana-infusion, use a Midgard trade portal to exchange native resources, and find elven equipment such as Elvorium armor, a Reality Sword, and rings and amulets. Alfheim also lets players become an elf of one of nine races, fly with wings, and use magic to survive; its challenge is to build a portal and return to the Overworld. Players can team up through a built-in party system, fight the Flügel boss, and face Ragnarök; the gallery also shows a destroyed arena and a Demigods Rook boss, which is described as a work in progress and summonable only by command. The add-on integrates with Thaumcraft by adding Natural Metals caps, new rods including a mana-to-vis converter, and ore-generation support.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10.
Adds 460 blocks, 245 items and 63 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Replaces 1 of vanilla Minecraft's core shaders.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends about you
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10.
We read its code without running it: it contacts 1 web address while you play.
Like any connection, each address it contacts sees your IP address.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
