Botania is a natural-magic-themed tech mod built around creating magical flowers and devices powered by Mana, an energy that players channel and move through the world. Its sixteen colorful Mystical Flowers can be found or grown with Floral Fertilizer; their petals are used to make dyes and to craft functional and mana-generating flora in the Petal Apothecary. Progression includes using the Pure Daisy to transform nearby wood and stone into Livingwood and Livingrock, crafting runes on a Mana-fed Runic Altar, and infusing Manasteel, a Mana Diamond, and a Mana Pearl into Terrasteel on a Terrestrial Agglomeration Plate. Players manipulate and direct the system with in-world tools such as the Wand of the Forest, while Mana movement uses aim- and timing-based mechanics rather than pipes, wires, or menus. The mod supports thoughtful, largely automatable contraptions using Botania and vanilla Minecraft, with challenges designed around planning and experimentation rather than following fixed blueprints. The craftable Lexica Botania serves as an in-game guide to the mod’s mechanics and content.

No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends about you
We read its code without running it: it contacts 1 web address while you play.
Like any connection, each address it contacts sees your IP address.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for some of its commits
Claude Code is named in 1 of its 9,662 commits.
A commit that names an AI tool shows that AI helped with that change, not how much of the code AI wrote.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
