About
Animal Garden Yellow Mongoose adds a small, agile savanna animal that is active by day and rests at night, and can be bred, tamed, and healed with any food item. These opportunistic carnivores flee nearby creatures unless provoked or confronting babies, smaller mobs, or arthropods; they attack non-flying arthropods, deal extra damage to them, and are immune to poison. A tamed mongoose warns its owner with a call when a nearby mob is targeting them, and a mongoose left on the ground may dig up items such as string, flint, bones, seeds, or rabbit drops every five to ten minutes. You can switch between wandering, resting, and following behavior, with resting keeping the animal in place; mongooses spawn in savanna biomes, and spawn settings can be customized through data files or resource packs, with some Fabric settings handled in a config file.
