Berk Origins adds five How to Train Your Dragon-themed playable origins for use with Origins and the Isle of Berk and Archipelago Additions mods. Choose the Farlander for a character without special abilities, the Berserker to keep a weapon after death and rage at low health, the Berk Rioter to increase the speed of rideable dragons, the Dragonguard to make dragons passive and easier to tame at the cost of slower flight, or the Dragon Hunter to begin with themed gear and receive poisonous arrows each day. Dragon Hunter also makes its members passive to dragons, while some dragons become untamable when they reach adulthood. The mod gives dragons traits such as poison resistance, extra health, fire-breathing bites, water invisibility, or nighttime concealment; an amethyst shard reveals a dragon's trait. Dragons also have hunger and mood: fish restore hunger, dragon nip restores mood, and a high or low mood changes flight speed, with particles indicating the dragon's mood. Tamed Stingers can run across water, Tidal-class dragons can swim underwater as if flying, and Flightmares and Fireworms glow. Players can dye Night Furies, Monstrous Nightmares, Storming Nightmares, Singe Strykes, Triple Strykes, Alpha Speed Strykes, Deadly Nadders, Scuttleclaws, Deathly Galeslashes, Stormcutters, Gronckles, and Hideous Zipplebacks, then remove the color with a wet sponge.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.18.2.
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 2 loot tables.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.18.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.18.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
Point at or tap a version to see its loaders.
Modpacks that include Berk Origins in at least one of their versions, most downloaded first.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. None is for a recent Minecraft version. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 1 release needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This counts in the grade, but it is too few to lose points.
