Make a beautiful HUD in Minecraft.
60 of the 61 points that apply = 98 out of 100.
BetterHud is a server-side system for building and displaying custom Minecraft HUDs without requiring players to install a client mod. It lets server creators combine images, text, and player heads into layouts, with support for custom TTF and OTF fonts, emoji-like image glyphs, and automatically generated resource packs. HUDs can present familiar status displays such as health, hunger, mana, and stamina bars, using images that fill or change according to values such as health. Layouts can show placeholder-driven information, apply conditions, and animate elements; configurable popups can appear in response to events such as attacking a mob, making them useful for temporary monster-health displays, skill indicators, and cooldowns. A compass feature can mark named locations with icons, while popup and HUD controls let administrators or integrations add, remove, show, and hide these displays for players. The project is designed for server use across Bukkit, Velocity, and Fabric, and supports resource-pack integration with services including ItemsAdder, Nexo, and Polymer.
Written from Modrinth and the GitHub README . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 3 areas, as a library other mods build on: Networking and multiplayerChanges 2 game code files in this area: connections, the server list and what is sent between your game and a server., Mobs and their behaviorChanges 2 game code files in this area: mobs, animals, villagers, projectiles and how they move and act. and Game data and resourcesChanges 1 game code file in this area: recipes, tags, advancements, language files and other game data..
Libraries packed inside it change 33 more game code files: adventure-platform-fabric, adventure-platform-mod-shared-fabric-repack and adventure-platform-mod-shared.
Adds no new blocks, items or other content.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
Sends usage statistics
Sent to bstats.org.
Only some of its files send usage statistics.
We found this in its code, read without running it.
The author declares on Modrinth that it sends crash reports or usage data unless you turn this off.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
