By Powder and Steel is an addon for Guns Without Roses that adds biome-specific hostile mobs and expands the gun-crafting progression, including changes to the recipes for diamond guns. Its roster includes forest Gunomes, Shrubhulks and Shrubsnappers; desert and savannah Cowbones; tundra and taiga Zombie Seals; ocean Sunken Pirates; mountain Patrollers; plains Zombunnies; jungle and Lush Cave Abeillons; and heavily armored Sentries found at the Deepslate layer. Nether and End encounters include Crimson Gunnubi in Crimson Forests, Ensouled Skulls and Pale Gunnubi in Soul Sand Valleys, and shield-bearing Skybenders in the Outer End, whose gravitic blades can levitate players. Mobs provide materials for a range of guns and ammunition: Caliberries make high-knockback bullets, Cowbones Horns support early shotguns and fast-firing guns, Milspec Ice enables slow, precise snipers, and Sunken Doubloons yield slow but powerful guns. Other drops add distinct gear and effects, including Marksblades for fighting alongside guns, heavy Densgsten bullets, burst rifles and firing-speed armor from Abeillonswax, and powerful but self-damaging guns made with Heptacles. Sentry drops are used for unique weapons and are required for diamond guns, while Skybender Graviolium Cells let players craft gravitic blades, similar bullets, and blocks that propel anything landing on them. The addon also includes four armor sets, more than 50 decorative blocks made from mob drops, and other uses for materials such as edible Caliberries and grillable Milspec Ice. It adds more than 15 mobs, 16 guns and six types of bullets, and most mob spawns can extend to modded biomes when those biomes use the relevant biome tags.
Written from Modrinth , CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds:
Counted from the files of the mod. Content made only in its code is not counted.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
