Christmas Additions brings holiday-themed gifts, creatures, decorations, and building materials to Minecraft. Its four craftable gift colors offer different rewards: red gifts can contain farm-animal or villager spawn eggs, green gifts minerals, blue gifts diamond gear, and purple gifts enchanted books and powerful gear, with rarer bonus items possible. Some gifts can also yield distinctive items, including a portable 27-slot storage bag, a sleigh bell that lets its holder fly in survival, a durable candy cane sword, and an automatic crossbow that loads and fires up to eight arrows. Christmas trees appear randomly across the surface world with eight gifts beneath them, while Christmas cottages spawn in taiga biomes and elves naturally appear in taiga biomes. Elves can drop gifts, gumdrops, and gingerbread materials when killed, and now produce candy canes rather than presents when fed sugar. Players can make a Snow Buddy by building a coal-and-snow stack and adding a carrot; it slowly follows a held golden carrot and turns to face its holder. Gingerbread men are created by using a gumdrop on a gingerbread block, and can be bred with gumdrops; their drops and craftable gingerbread and frosting blocks, slabs, stairs, and brick styles provide materials for building gingerbread houses. For winter decoration, the mod adds craftable icicles in three sizes, snow and ice bricks, peppermint blocks, and Christmas lights in plain or colored forms with straight, angled, and corner pieces, plus a craftable tree star.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 101 blocks, 29 items, 4 mobs, 200 recipes and 2 loot tables.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
