Coasters: Engineered extends Create: Coasters Simulated with trackside coaster controls and components for shaping how carts launch, travel, and brake. Its linear motors attach to coaster tracks and use physical force to accelerate or slow passing carts, including catching rollbacks and relaunching them. A motor controller sequences motors through Launch, Trim, Coast, Stop, and End behaviors; Stop holds a cart until a redstone pulse, and steps advance once a cart clears the motor, enabling multi-pass rides and swing launches. The Coaster Observer detects fast-moving carts and reports their exact speed in blocks per second through a redstone signal that holds its reading for ten seconds. A cart-mounted Splashdown Scoop brakes trains on submerged track by dragging through the water, producing spray particles, with stronger braking at greater depths. Coaster Casing provides a shared body for the mechanical blocks and serves as a building block and crafting ingredient. An optional server setting enables Forge Energy: motors then draw power from standard FE cables, using more for heavier trains or harder launches, and return power through regenerative braking. The blocks integrate with Create Display Links, Engineer’s Goggles, and Jade to show cart speeds, motor states, and power usage.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 4 blocks: Coaster Casing, Coaster Observer, Linear Motor Controller and Splashdown Scoop; 1 item: Linear Motor; 2 sounds: Linear Motor Hum and Splashdown Rush; 5 recipes.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for its code and text
The author declares AI code and text on Modrinth.
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
