Dangerous is a balancing mod that keeps Minecraft challenging as players gain stronger gear and abilities, particularly in long-progression modded worlds. Enemies gain health as in-game days pass, while skeletons and pillagers switch between bows and melee weapons according to the player's distance. Hostile mobs can also become better equipped: piglins and zombified piglins may spawn in enchanted gold armor, piglin brutes can rarely wield diamond or netherite axes, wither skeletons can wear chainmail or iron armor, and vindicators may upgrade to diamond axes. Enemy equipment improves with depth, ranging from leather, chainmail, and iron gear at the surface to gold, iron, and diamond armor or weapons in deep caves. Creepers move 1.4 times faster and spiders 1.25 times faster; spider bites may also cause venom that reduces healing effectiveness for its duration. Configuration lets players adjust enemy health scaling, armor and weapon spawn lists, armor-set chances, enchantments for bows, melee weapons, and armor, and creeper and spider speed multipliers. The mod is intended to help balance player-strengthening mods such as Artifacts, Apotheosis, Relics, and Advanced Netherite, and can also be used alongside the enemy mods Champions-Unofficial and Enemy Expansion.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 2 areas: Mobs and their behaviorChanges 3 game code files in this area: mobs, animals, villagers, projectiles and how they move and act. and Game coreChanges 1 game code file in this area: the main loop, lighting and other code the whole game uses..
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
