    About

    Distant Horizons for VulkanMod is an extension that lets Distant Horizons render its level-of-detail terrain through VulkanMod’s Vulkan backend instead of OpenGL, so the two mods can work together on VulkanMod setups. Its LOD rendering supports correct terrain colors, day-and-night and block lighting, depth integration behind nearby Minecraft terrain, water and glass transparency, and screen-space ambient occlusion. It also supports distance and height fog with different falloff and mixing modes, noise and dithering, fade and clip transitions, earth curvature, and clouds with depth correctly matched to LOD terrain. Rain and snow render in front of LOD terrain as well; shader-pack support and wireframe debug mode are not implemented. This is not a standalone replacement for Distant Horizons: it runs alongside Distant Horizons and requires both that mod and VulkanMod.
