Engineer's Tool Upgrades is an Immersive Engineering addon that expands the mod’s tools with new upgrades, drill heads, and quality-of-life features. The Magnetic Drill Extender lets a drill mine slightly farther away, while the Fluid Sensor checks the drill’s mining area for blocks bordering lava and sounds an alarm when it detects danger. A Flashlight upgrade for drills and heavy plated shields projects a beam in the direction the player looks, brightening nearby areas and dimming with distance; it operates without Flux or fuel. The Antiblast Plate helps absorb explosions while the player is actively blocking with a shield. The Lead Drillhead mines a focused 1×1 area and is faster and more damaging than standard heads, while the Prospector Drillhead gives broken blocks a Silk Touch effect. Its item-inspection feature links items represented in the Engineer’s Manual to their specific entries, and the manual can also be opened directly from an item.
Written from Modrinth and the GitHub README . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 1 block, 8 items, 9 recipes, 1 sound and 1 key binding.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
engtoolup-1.20.1-1.0.jar, CurseForge engtoolup-1.20.1-1.0.jar. 5 classes changed, 2 classes only in the CurseForge file, in cat.joni.engtoolup: Engtoolup$ClientModEvents, Engtoolup, AntiblastPlateHandler, ManualLinkHandler, ProspectorDrillHandler, ManualLinkSlowStressTest$QueuedEntry (CurseForge only), ManualLinkSlowStressTest (CurseForge only). We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for its code
The author declares AI code on Modrinth.
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
