    About

    Extra Shield Enchantments adds six enchantments that give shields defensive effects and ways to respond to nearby enemies. Detonation creates an explosion near an enemy, Flare sets them on fire, and Impulse knocks them back; the strength or duration of these effects depends on enchantment level. Call of Heaven inflicts levitation, while Lethargy applies slowness and weakness; Secrecy instead grants the shield holder invisibility and increased speed while holding the shield. The three ordinary enchantments can be found in chests, through fishing, or by trading with villagers, while Call of Heaven is found in End Cities, Lethargy in Jungle Temples, and Secrecy can be bought from wandering traders. Effects activate when the shield is active and an enemy is close, but not after an axe attack; each use can damage the shield, with Unbreaking reducing the chance of that damage.
