Foods & Plants expands Minecraft’s food system with a Cooking Table for combining ingredients into substantial meals, pastries, sandwiches, stews, skewers, sushi, tacos and other dishes, many of which can grant effects such as strength, resistance, night vision or water breathing. Some recipes have stronger, visually distinct versions based on ingredient quality and quantity, while condiments held in the offhand can add effects to compatible foods. Its nutrition system tracks recent foods across fruit, vegetable, meat, sweet and fish groups: rotating food groups raises nutrition, while repeatedly eating from one group lowers it, potentially causing Pallor or granting the restorative Vigor effect at high nutrition. The mod adds farmable crops and foraged ingredients, including corn for cornbread and tortillas, rice for sticky rice and sushi, and apple blossoms that yield apples without being destroyed; rice grows in water, and corn grows faster beside potato or pumpkin plants. Milk can be smelted into cheese wheels that remove negative effects and age into more filling varieties that extend or strengthen positive effects, though cheese left to age too long becomes moldy. Ancient plants add interactive effects to the landscape: Pitcher Pods provide water breathing and jump boost, Torch Flowers provide fire resistance and night vision, Star Petals heal when walked through, and Bristle Sprouts grant speed and slow falling; they recharge as they regrow and can also serve as ingredients for ancient foods.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 290 blocks, 90 items, 34 recipes, 4 advancements and 4 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Replaces 8 of vanilla Minecraft's recipes, 3 interface textures and 2 loot tables.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
