    About

    Botany Pots provides compact, decorative planters for growing crops and other plants, making farming easier without requiring a conventional field; crops can grow in pots even when conditions such as light and nearby water would normally matter. Plant a seed in compatible soil to start a crop, use bone meal or other fertilizers to speed its growth, and harvest it by hand to collect its drops and automatically replant the seed. The basic pots come in 17 colors, while waxed pots display plants as fully grown for decoration and cannot be harvested or fertilized. Hopper Botany Pots automate the cycle by harvesting mature crops, replanting them, and sending their drops to an internal inventory or the inventory below; they also offer an optional harvest-tool slot that can affect drops and growth. Soils determine which crops can grow and can change growth speed, while crop settings define growth time, appearance, and harvest drops; fertilizers provide another way to advance growth. Pot interactions add recipes that act on items inside a pot, such as using a hoe to turn soil into farmland or combining lava and soil ingredients to create obsidian. Datapacks let players, mod authors, and servers add or adjust crops, soils, and fertilizers, and the mod documents support for over 1,300 crops and soils from other mods.
