Gamingbarn's Zombies transforms Minecraft's hostile-mob encounters into a survival challenge centered on faster, stronger zombies, requiring players to adapt their tactics and defenses. Its zombie types bring distinct threats: Acid Spitters and Spewers attack with projectiles, Nurses heal nearby zombies, Miners tunnel through certain blocks, and Builders make bridges and staircases for the horde. Water adds another danger, with fast Water Zombies appearing in rivers, lakes, and oceans even during the day, alongside Water Spitters, Builders, and Miners with specialized aquatic abilities. Other encounters include zombie animals that attack nearby targets and inflict hunger, rare DJ Zombies that drop a music disc, and player-shaped zombies that appear when a player is killed by a zombie. Zombies can also spawn with modifiers such as armor, weapons, increased speed, or greater size, while difficulty changes their strength, modifier frequency, infection risk, and the size of their groups. On Nightmare difficulty, acid attacks can deteriorate certain otherwise resistant blocks into breakable variants, making even reinforced structures vulnerable over time. Fire is an effective counter against most zombies, but Scorched Zombies are immune to it; burning zombies can also leave trails of fire.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 2 recipes, 2 advancements and 46 loot tables.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
