Survive zombie hordes in a harsh post-apocalyptic world with guns.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 77 graded mods, 66 are graded A or B, 10 C and 1 D to F. Its last update came out 2 months ago, for Minecraft 26.2. See the mods
The Walking Deceased is a Walking Dead-inspired survival modpack with more than 70 mods, built around enduring a harsh post-apocalyptic world. Survival means monitoring health, body temperature, thirst and hunger, while changing seasons affect both your temperature and crop growth. Craft modern TaCZ firearms at a Gun Smith Table to defend against zombie hordes. Killing mobs and mining earn skill points that can improve movement speed, attack damage and regeneration. Every few nights, zombie hordes attack with enhanced behavior that lets them break through walls and build over obstacles, so players can fortify bases and use traps. Zombie bites cause infection, making golden apples useful to keep on hand. The Forge selection includes TaCZ, The Hordes, First Aid, Cold Sweat, Thirst Was Taken, Farmer’s Delight, Supplementaries, Simple Voice Chat with Walkie-Talkie, Serene Seasons and Enhanced AI.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 11 Aug 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 10 Dec 2024 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the projects yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 79 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
6 mods send something about you
We read the code of 76 of its 77 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 8 of the 77 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
