About
Geocraft replaces evenly scattered ore generation with configurable, concentrated mines, where ores form in patterns such as coal layers, long gold tendrils, and spider-like metal veins; surface trace mines can also hint at deposits below. Its mine types include MineCoal, MineGold, MineTrace, MineCylinderComplex, MineDiamond, and MineVanilla, with options to adjust mine rarity and size, vein volume, and complex ore behavior. The mod adds ore forms for iron, coal, gold, diamond, copper, tin, silver, and lead, as well as Terra Quartz; examples of distinctive deposits include diamonds in kimberlite and gold in Terra Quartz. Geocraft also generates marble, basalt, and limestone in veins, with decorative block variants such as cobble, bricks, carved bricks, and paving stones that can be converted among forms by crafting or smelting. It is designed to handle ores from other mods and is confirmed to work with mods including IC2, Forestry, Thermal Expansion, Thaumcraft, Metallurgy, Mystcraft, and Tinker's Construct.
