Guide is a mod for creating and using interactive, customizable guidebooks directly in Minecraft, with books compiled from files on disk rather than packed into a mod JAR. Books can organize Markdown chapters with tables, links, spoilers, images, item and block models, sound buttons, and embedded video or GIF playback, while full-text and in-chapter search help readers find information. Guidebooks can include 3D multiblock blueprints that readers inspect by rotating, zooming, viewing layers, and following a step-by-step assembly progress display. A built-in scanner can look up chapters for blocks, mobs, dropped items, and fluids, opening a matching page directly or presenting a selection when there are multiple matches. Players can keep a private Explorer’s Journal of persistent notes with live Markdown previews, checklists, tables, and spoilers. Authors and modpack makers can customize interface themes, colors, chapter backgrounds, and visual effects, and gate individual books behind per-player unlock tags integrated with command-driven systems such as KubeJS, FTB Quests, and advancements. JEI bindings can connect guide chapters to item entries, and optional Curios support lets players equip the guidebook or journal in a belt slot.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
The author declares on Modrinth that this mod interacts with your system outside the game.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends about you
We read its code without running it: it contacts 3 web addresses while you play.
Like any connection, each address it contacts sees your IP address.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for its code and assets
The author declares AI code and assets on Modrinth.
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

Modpacks that include Guide in at least one of their versions, most downloaded first.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
