    About

    Healer is a Forge mod that patches the Log4Shell vulnerability (CVE-2021-44228) in older Minecraft environments by removing JNDI lookup from Log4j’s Interpolator and replacing the default LoggerContextFactory so it can also catch LoggerContexts loaded later. It is intended for Minecraft versions up to 1.12.2 and is particularly useful on servers that lack an equivalent fix; players whose launcher or another fix already patches the vulnerability generally do not need it. Healer delays its patching when necessary to accommodate mods that adjust logging configuration, includes built-in support for ForgeEssentials, and allows the patch stage to be selected through a JVM argument.
