Large Modpack with every recipe Gregified
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 49 graded mods, 35 are graded A or B, 3 C and 11 D to F. Its last update came out 3 weeks ago, for Minecraft 1.7.10. See the mods
GT New Horizons is a long-form, GregTech-centered modpack that reshapes its many mods into a connected progression, with thousands of recipe changes and more than 3,500 quests guiding players from a harsh stone-age start through successive technology tiers. Early survival demands shelter, light against pitch-dark nights, and varied food, while stronger mobs make preparation and equipment important. Technology unfolds through increasingly complex machinery, power generation, automation, and multi-stage processing, including production chains that turn numerous inputs and intermediates into materials such as plastic and rubber; GregTech cables also convert EU to RF to connect energy systems. The pack ties in practical systems such as Forestry and IndustrialCraft 2 plant and bee breeding, EnderIO and Draconic Evolution mob farms, and Railcraft and Applied Energistics infrastructure. Magic has its own progression through a customized Thaumonomicon with sections for Thaumcraft, Botania, Blood Magic, and Witchery, while exploring the Twilight Forest and defeating its bosses advances magical development; later, essentia power and AE storage link magic with technology. Exploration includes varied terrain from Realistic World Gen and Biomes O’ Plenty, villages used for trading and scavenging, and challenging Rogue-like Dungeons with loot and spawners. Mining is central to advancement: ores appear in large, localized veins, and important materials are distributed across the Twilight Forest, Nether, End, and eventually other planets, making Galacticraft relevant to endgame progress. The questbook explains progression and mod unlocks, links displayed items to their NEI recipes, and offers rewards through custom lootbags and a coin system. The long-term goal is to build the Stargate, an interdimensional teleporter representing the culmination of the pack’s 15 technology tiers.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.7.10 · Forge, 4 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 11 Jan 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 48 of its 49 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI tool in the 35 mods we checked, and no AI content is declared for them on Modrinth.
14 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its description and code history and found none.
We have not read its changelogs, files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
