In The Corners is a horror mod that fills a Minecraft world with 43 entities that stalk, pursue, frighten, and sometimes kill the player. Its entities are organized into four tiers: stalkers and manipulators, unpredictable creator entities, more dangerous abyssal entities, and powerful bosses tied to the mod’s lore. Encounters vary widely: Hide lures players into a trap or a game of hide-and-seek, Scatter fires jumpscare-triggering projectiles, Shapeshifter disguises itself as an ordinary mob, and Manipulate freezes when watched in a weeping-angel-like manner. Some entities can send players into dangerous alternate spaces, including Integer’s creepy dimension, Agony’s obstacle-filled chase dimension, and the maze-like pathways and vacant rooms. The mod also includes world-affecting threats: Name.err spreads blocks that can turn valuable ores into ordinary stone, while Void damages nearby tree leaves. Progression leads into lore-rich boss encounters: Speech tells the story in a lore dimension, defeating him provides a core used to summon Vainglory, and later confrontations include Void and Providence. Boss fights have distinct patterns, from Speech’s summoned allies and lasers to Void’s four phases and Providence’s escalating attacks; the mod also includes a summonable Vestige boss. Additional content includes research books, new tools and armor, structures, a biome, music, blocks, advancements, and visual effects such as fog and a glitchy HUD. Entity spawning uses a configurable delay, so players can adjust how frequently encounters occur.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds:
Counted from the files of the mod. Content made only in its code is not counted.
Replaces 22 of vanilla Minecraft's interface textures, 1 sky, weather or particle texture and 1 text file.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
