Metal Works is a vanilla-styled mod that adds Tin, Bronze, and Rose Gold as distinct alternatives for gear and building, with different strengths rather than one universally best metal. Tin gear is lightweight and fast, while Bronze offers stronger, more durable equipment than iron but remains below diamond; Rose Gold improves on gold with greater durability and stats while retaining its enchantability. The metals also bring decorative options, including weathering Tin blocks that tarnish over time and can be waxed or scraped, plus Bronze tiles, bars, grates, doors, and trapdoors and Rose Gold mosaics and lanterns. Tin ore is found around the stone-to-deepslate layer and in mountainous areas, while Cassiterite in frozen, stony, and jagged peaks can be smelted for tin; Tin and Copper can be combined into Bronze, and Copper and Gold into Rose Gold. Exploration additions include the Lost Citadel, a skeleton-guarded Nether tower in Soul Sand Valleys with four variants, treasure, Suspicious Soul Soil, and Tin, as well as Cassiterite deposits in mountain biomes. Mage Fire is a non-spreading arcane flame that supplies enchanting power and can be made into torches, lanterns, Tin lanterns, and campfires. Players can summon a stationary Mage Golem from Rose Gold blocks and a carved pumpkin; it prevents most hostile mobs from spawning nearby, with its radius expanding from 8 to as much as 64 blocks when supplied with enchantment power from sources such as bookshelves or Mage Fire. Bronze also enables a Looping Pressure Plate that cycles on and off while an entity stands on it, while Rose Gold makes a weighted pressure plate that outputs one redstone signal per five entities.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 128 blocks, 47 items, 1 structure, 2 paintings, 303 recipes, 21 advancements, 4 loot tables and 3 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

Modpacks that include Metal Works in at least one of their versions, most downloaded first.
Mods that modpacks often add together with Metal Works. Share: how many of the modpacks with Metal Works also have that mod.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 3 releases needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This lowers the grade by 3 points.
