Modern Beta Forge brings selectable terrain and biome generation from earlier Minecraft eras to Forge, letting players create worlds inspired by Beta, Alpha, Infdev, Indev, Classic, and Pocket Edition alongside vanilla generation. Its terrain options include Beta 1.7.3, Alpha 1.1.2_01, several dated Infdev generators, Indev 20100223, Classic 0.0.23a, Beta Skylands, Pocket Edition 0.6.0, vanilla terrain, and The End; it also provides Classic Nether terrain. Players can mix terrain and biome generators, choosing from historical options, fixed biomes, vanilla biomes, or Biomes O' Plenty when that mod is installed, and can substitute other vanilla or mod biomes into Beta biome generation. An in-game customization screen offers built-in and shareable generation presets, settings for modern structures and decoration, and a preview of terrain and biomes before creating a world. Worlds can also use classic-style details such as Beta sky and biome colors, adjustable cloud height, and beach-based player spawns; Beta colors are available in single-player and optional in multiplayer. The mod supports extended world heights with Depths Update or Cubic Chunks, and provides compatibility for content from mods including Buildcraft Energy, Dynamic Trees, Future MC, Millénaire, Oceanic Expanse, Thaumcraft, and Yung's Better Mineshafts.

No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

In the last 2 years, 13 releases needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This lowers the grade by 3 points.
