Punch songs into music grids, then play them in-game.

Music Box lets players create, edit, and play songs on reusable Note Grids, using a perforation table to punch notes or work from written reference data. A grid can hold up to 64 pages of 64 beats, with any of 25 note-block pitches available in each beat; players can join grids, split them at page boundaries, and repair punched holes. The Music Box plays a loaded grid one beat at a time when struck or used, and plays it continuously at its configured speed when powered by redstone; an awl adjusts playback speed and octave, while the block beneath it determines its timbre. Comparators provide redstone output based on the grid’s notes, allowing the music box to be incorporated into signal-driven builds. The perforation-table workflow includes viewing and editing grids, punching them to match reference data, and a timing-based punching challenge; reference data can be written in a book and quill, and an export tool converts Note Block Studio files into that format. Sound Shards can listen for nearby sound events, record sounds, and play them back, while Sound Boxes load a shard and let the Music Box use its sound; recorded ambient mob sounds can also attract nearby stationary mobs.
Written from Modrinth and the GitHub README . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 2 areas: SoundChanges 1 game code file in this area: playing sounds, music and the sound engine. and PlayerChanges 1 game code file in this area: your character: movement, abilities, hunger and controls..
Adds 3 blocks: Music Box, Perforation Table and Sound Box; 4 items: Awl, Note Grid, Paper Paste and Sound Shard; 7 recipes.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs and code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
