New Cave Biomes! expands underground exploration with seven new cave biomes, each bringing its own blocks, creatures, or resources. Mushroom Caves are fungus-rich and host Rotten and Evil Shrooms, which are hostile to players and pig-related mobs; Endermen and Endermites also spawn there. Magmatic Chambers introduce Black Sand and the hostile, wandering Wither Frisp, while Eroded Caves combine heat, traces of water, and a new cactus type with neutral Cactortoises that shoot spikes when attacked. Slime Caverns contain slime-related blocks and extra Emerald Ore, and are home to the Slimosaurus, a neutral creature that chases Witches and Rotten Shrooms. Feeding a Slimosaurus honey blocks makes it lay an egg that hatches into a tameable Slimosaurus. Cold Caves are filled with ice-related blocks and the hostile Frisp, whose attacks create a sphere of ice that fades after a few seconds. The Meat Pit is a rotten biome populated by Zombies and Skeletons, where a triggered flesh tendril can mutate into the powerful Living Flesh, hostile to players, Villagers, and Golems. Crystal Deposits feature grass, Spinel Crystals, and neutral Livingstones, which shrink and lose attack strength when damaged and naturally attack Cactortoises. The mod adds five varieties of Garnet Geodes: red ones generate in Deepslate, orange in Magmatic Chambers and Eroded Caves, green in Slime Caverns, blue in Cold Caves, and silver in Meat Pits and Mushroom Caves. Garnets can be used for decoration or crafted into Crimson Gold, whose tools mine a small area and whose armor grants Resilience, reducing incoming mob attacks to one damage while the wearer is at full health; Crimson Gold can be enhanced with a Netherite Ingot. Garnet Dungeons add underground structures whose Garnet Brick color and loot vary according to the cave biome. A new Geologist villager job, based at the Geologist Table, trades in the mod's items and mineral-based rocks; Clerics can buy Cactortoise Scutes and Putrid Flesh Blocks, while Butchers can buy and sell Slimosaurus Meat.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.18.2 to 1.19.4.
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 213 blocks, 84 items, 9 mobs, 3 other entities, 7 biomes, 6 enchantments, 381 recipes, 1 advancement, 17 loot tables and 36 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.18.2 to 1.19.4.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.18.2 to 1.19.4.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
