    About

    Powerborne Heroes is a Palladium-based superhero addon that lets players become Marvel and DC heroes by exploring the world and completing each character’s progression path. Its playable heroes include Spider-Man, Firestorm, Captain America, Sentry, Superman, and Thor, each with distinct abilities that players unlock through skill trees by earning experience in combat and while using powers. Becoming a hero involves different in-world quests and systems: Spider-Man gains powers from a radioactive spider and uses Web-Shooters, Captain America undergoes a serum treatment, and Superman charges a Sun Totem in daylight to obtain Kryptonian powers. Other paths include fusing with a player or villager to become Firestorm, awakening Sentry near a Solar Ascension beacon, and proving worthiness to lift Mjölnir and become Thor. Exploration also reveals loot-bearing structures such as crashed Kryptonian pods and Mjölnir’s crash site, while hero suits can be tailored, repaired, and displayed on armor stands. Each hero has cosmetic suit variants inspired by comics, films, and animation; Suit Scrolls unlock variants, and the choices change appearance without affecting abilities. Spider-Man’s web abilities use Web Fluid for most attacks, with web swinging and block zipping not consuming it; Spider-Sense and other powers add further character-specific mechanics. Players can also summon Krypto the Super-Dog with the Kryptonian Whistle.
