    About

    Sophisticated Storage expands Minecraft’s storage options with tiered barrels, chests, and shulker boxes, whose capacity and upgrade slots grow through copper, iron, gold, diamond, and netherite tiers. Barrels and chests come in vanilla wood variants, while Limited Barrels provide one to four slots with stack capacity that increases by tier; players can store or retrieve items by interacting with the item displayed on the barrel’s front. Storage blocks can be customized with separate main and accent colors, and barrels can also use materials from other blocks on different surfaces; a Decoration Table previews designs, while a Paintbrush applies them directly, including across storage connected to a Controller. A Controller combines connected storage into a unified system, linking adjacent blocks or remote groups through Storage Links within a 15-block range, and lets players deposit matching items from their inventory. Storage Tools manage links and locks and can show or hide details such as tiers, upgrades, Limited Barrel counts, and fill levels; dedicated Storage Input, Output, and I/O blocks provide insertion, extraction, or both for pipes and other item-transfer setups. A broad set of upgrades adds practical behaviors, including item pickup and magnet collection, filtering and voiding, compacting, feeding players, automated smelting, smoking and blasting, crafting, stonecutting, oversized stacks, jukebox playback, compression, and hopper-style item transfer. Many upgrades have advanced variants or configurable filters, while mod settings let players adjust storage and upgrade capacities, ranges, speeds, and features or disable options that do not suit a modpack.
