Rain World Origins brings slugcat-inspired origins from Rain World Downpour into Minecraft, with distinct abilities and drawbacks for Artificer, Rivulet, Saint, Spearmaster, and Gourmand. Artificer can craft TNT from cobblestone, throw weaker TNT at the cost of hunger, and perform an explosive jump, but takes water damage and is smaller than a typical player. Rivulet moves and swims faster, breathes underwater, sees better, jumps higher, and breaks blocks quickly, while having less health and a smaller size. Saint can swing with a powerful tongue, levitate, ascend, and withstand falls, but has significantly less health and is vegetarian. Spearmaster has extra health and an effectively unlimited supply of spears, though it can hold only two at a time and must throw them at entities to feed; Gourmand is stronger and can regurgitate random items, but is slower and smaller than usual. The mod also adds craftable, single-use spears and rubbish: spears can explode on impact, while thrown rubbish can stun enemies; explosive versions of both are available.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 2 areas: PlayerChanges 1 game code file in this area: your character: movement, abilities, hunger and controls. and Mobs and their behaviorChanges 1 game code file in this area: mobs, animals, villagers, projectiles and how they move and act..
A library packed inside it changes 11 more game code files: Reach Entity Attributes.
Adds 5 items, 6 recipes and 1 loot table.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs and code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
