A pack with many new origins to choose from.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 132 graded mods, 83 are graded A or B, 14 C and 35 D to F. Its last update came out 2.2 years ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Infinite Origins is a modpack centered on choosing from around 45 additional origins, including examples such as Wood Elf, Wind Wyvern, Tiefling, Sea Leviathan, Fire Drake, Avian, Wolf, and Wither Wraith. It also includes Terralith world generation, Better Nether and End content, new creatures to fight, tame, or befriend, quality-of-life mods, and shaders with Distant Horizons. The pack is intended for different server play styles, including anarchy and peaceful play, and supports origin rerolling on death when a compatible mod is added separately.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Fabric, 28 Jul 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 126 of its 134 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
7 mods send something about you
We read the code of 123 of its 131 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 4 of the 87 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
44 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
