About
Random Mob Sizes lets you configure which mobs spawn at different sizes, with mobs not covered by the configuration retaining their default size. For each mob, settings can use a fixed size or choose a random scale through a uniform distribution across a range or a Gaussian distribution that makes sizes near the range's center more common. You can apply settings to selected entities using inclusion and exclusion lists, use overrides for individual mobs, and use wildcards to cover entities from a mod; the documented defaults include size variation for cows, pigs, chickens, frogs, sheep and bats, while excluding shulkers and the wither from the general rule. Configuration can also scale health, damage and movement speed independently, and assign different size rules for peaceful, easy, normal and hard difficulty levels. A setting can be kept when a mob converts into another mob, such as a cured zombie villager becoming a villager, and the mod includes commands to set, remove and inspect mob scaling rules. The documentation says the mod should work with modded mobs, though it notes reported compatibility issues with some other mods.
