SCP Additions is a survival-horror and facility-building mod that brings functional SCP anomalies and containment systems inspired by SCP: Containment Breach and SCP Unity into Minecraft. Its custom inventory organizes items into specialized categories for storage, equipment, keys, ammunition, consumables, and other uses, while a Status panel tracks health, armor, stamina, effects, and blood type; players also get a 3×3 crafting interface with saved and pinnable recipes and a Codex for illustrated records such as SCP files, reports, maps, and story entries. Survival systems reshape movement and resource management: sprinting consumes stamina, players must blink near SCP-173, and configurable contextual prompts can appear when interacting with blocks or entities. The facility-building set includes walls, floors, directional markings, ventilation, lights, heaters, terminals, televisions, signs, props, and sector-themed blocks, alongside animated doors and six levels of color-coded keycards and readers. Security and hazard machinery adds Tesla Gates that can be managed through a security terminal, decontamination checkpoints that seal and mist a chamber to remove active effects, and hazmat protection that trades safety for slower movement, greater stamina use, and muffled sound. Anomalies create distinct threats and interactions: SCP-173 moves lethally when unobserved, SCP-079 can manipulate eligible connected facility doors, SCP-012 draws nearby players toward its composition, and friendly SCP-131 Eye Pods can help watch for danger. Other featured SCPs include SCP-294, a request-driven coffee machine with configurable drinks; SCP-914, which transforms items, entities, or players across five refinement settings; SCP-330, whose candy punishes taking too much; and SCP-714, which resists mental influence while progressively weakening its wearer. The collection also includes the perception-altering SCP-426 toaster, the unimpressive-but-confidence-inspiring SCP-572 katana, the mysterious SCP-902 box, and SCP-1176's sarcophagus and anomalous honey, whose outcomes depend on blood type. A configurable in-game center lets users adjust gameplay modules, inventory behavior, Codex documents, interactions, SCP-294 drinks, and SCP-914 recipes, allowing facility builders to tailor systems and content to their scenarios.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 450 blocks, 28 items, 6 mobs, 15 recipes, 12 advancements, 97 sounds and 8 key bindings.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for its code
The author declares AI code on Modrinth.
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
Point at or tap a version to see its loaders.
Modpacks that include SCP Additions in at least one of their versions, most downloaded first.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 6 releases needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This lowers the grade by 7 points.
