    About

    Silent’s Gems expands the world with 16 gemstones distributed across the Overworld, Nether, and End, along with matching ores that can be configured to generate in different dimensions or disabled. The gems can be crafted into building materials including gem blocks, bricks, polished, chiseled, and smooth stones, glass, and lamps. Each gem has distinctive traits and tends to specialize in a role: Ruby and Carnelian favor durability, Topaz, Citrine, and Heliodor favor speed, Peridot, Moldavite, and Rose Quartz favor damage, while Sapphire, Iolite, and Ammolite favor armor; Turquoise, Kyanite, Alexandrite, and the diamond variants are all-rounders. Black Diamonds are uncommon finds in the Nether and White Diamonds in the End, and both are notably powerful compared with most gems. With Silent Gear installed, the gems can also serve as materials for its tools and armor, whose performance reflects the materials used. Other practical additions include Gem Bags that collect mined gems, Flower Baskets that collect mined flowers, and naturally spawning Glowroses whose light can deter nearby mob spawns; potted Glowroses emit more light. Summon Kitty and Summon Puppy items provide a tamed cat or dog, respectively, and let you choose its name using an anvil.
