    About

    Smart Backpacks expands portable storage with backpacks that can be opened by hand, worn or placed in the world, and upgraded as players progress through material-based tiers from leather to netherite, with larger ultimate and vault options for very high capacity. Its upgrades turn a backpack into a customizable utility kit: magnets and pickup filters collect selected drops, restock and deposit items, nested storage organizes other packs, and portable crafting, smithing, brewing, enchanting, and other workstation functions are available. Automation and survival features include transferring items through hoppers, storing and pumping fluids, holding FE energy, converting experience to and from liquid XP, auto-feeding and swapping tools, and providing furnace, smoker, or blast-furnace processing. Further options include wireless access to placed backpacks, chunk loading, dynamic lighting, soulbound protection, and upgrades for projectile storage, waste disposal, emergency rescue, and replenishing building blocks. Backpacks can also connect into a storage network: place them in a storage room, link them with Storage Cables, and browse their combined contents through a Storage Controller. The mod works with standard inventories, item and fluid transport, and FE systems, with optional Curios wearable-slot support, JEI recipe viewing, and useful fluid integration with Create-style setups.
