Spelunking Bags rewards mining with three kinds of bags left by ancient miners, making cave exploration more rewarding than simply seeking visible ores. The bags drop from mining vanilla stone by default, with distinct rarity and biome preferences: the Miner's Tools Bag is most common and favored in Forests, the Miner's Plants Bag is rarer and favored in Lush Caves, and the rarest Miner's Treasures Bag is favored in Dripstone Caves. Each bag grants one of four unique relics and may also provide a themed extra gift: iron ingots, Glow Berries, or Disc Fragments for the Rascal music disc, depending on the bag. The Tools Bag relics include a Sword of the Depths that grows stronger underground, a Fiery Pickaxe that smelts blocks, a damage-focused Sharp Iron Pickaxe, and a Climbing Axe for scaling walls. Plants Bag relics add cave-focused resources and effects, including Glowing Spores that create light-emitting vines in darkness, Strange Root for brewing a drink with random buffs or debuffs, a mushroom for brewing Haste I, and Ancient Seeds that grow poisonous berries with combat effects. Treasures Bag relics offer survival and utility options: the Broken Clock delays death to give time to escape danger, the Bat Talisman reveals and weakens nearby monsters, the Golden Cube fully repairs a durable item, and the Spider Amulet summons a friendly spider to fight. Bag rarities, relic availability, drop blocks, and additional spawning biomes can be adjusted through configuration or data packs.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.18 to 1.19.2.
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 5 blocks, 22 items, 1 mob, 4 recipes, 11 advancements and 1 sound.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.18 to 1.19.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.18 to 1.19.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
