Super Mario Mania brings blocks, items, creatures, and movement abilities inspired by the Super Mario games into Minecraft, with most of its content found in a Mushroom Kingdom dimension built for exploration and for making Mario-themed maps. Players enter the first world through a Warp Pipe found in the Overworld or by crafting an Awakened Nether Star, then meet Captain Toad, receive armor and a Royal Compass, and make their way toward Peach’s Castle. Exploration involves collecting Power Stars by discovering the world, fighting bosses, and helping NPCs; stars activate structures such as Goomboss’ tree generator and ominously pulsing sites, while defeating Larry at his citadel is the route to a later world that is not yet available. The mod adds ledge-grabbing, wall jumps, ground pounds, backflips, land jumps, long jumps, triple jumps, and a cap-enabled midair twirl, alongside power-ups. Its biomes include Shroom Grove, where colorful mushrooms serve as food or wood and blue and pink varieties are slippery or bouncy; Mole Hills, with edible or throwable turnips, Yoshi-fruit bushes, spore-releasing volcano lotuses, moles, and Rexes; and Piperock Plateau, with Piperite ore, Skedaddlers, Trompettes, and King Bob-omb’s mountain. Goomba Woods has maple trees, several kinds of Goombas, dangerous Maw-Maws, and Goomboss’ tree; the mysterious Emerald Forest features Azurlia trees, skystone, ancient buildings, vines, floor- and ceiling-dwelling Munchers, and flying Vegies that drop volcanic spores. The devastated Ruins are filled with falling cannonballs, flying Bill Bullets, and exploding Bob-Ombs, and contain Larry’s Citadel; Boom Boom’s Tower can also appear in almost any biome. Environmental details give locations distinct character: leaves gradually cover the ground around Goomboss’ tree, fog envelops the Emerald Forest, crystals in its caves change color with the time, and yellow lava in Ruins caves both damages and bounces players. Materials and building content include Maple, Azurlia, and Mushroom woodsets; Piperock, Skystone, Tower Bricks, Bluestone, Castlestone, and Seabed stone; and Piperite, Bronze, and Lithium, as well as craftable bone decorations and functional blocks, some of which are not obtainable in survival. At Peach’s Castle, paintings provide returns to the Overworld or access to other mod worlds, and an Eternal Star pedestal converts coins into experience.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.19.4.
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds:
Counted from the files of the mod. Content made only in its code is not counted.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.19.4.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.19.4.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
