The Skinwalker Hunt is a horror mod centered on a rare Overworld predator that disguises itself as a cat, wolf, villager, cow, sheep, or pig before revealing its true form and hunting the player. The Skinwalker becomes hostile if attacked, and also reveals itself at night or in caves when the player is nearby; it can break blocks while pursuing the player, climb up to five blocks, and inflict Nausea and Blindness with its attacks. A second monster, the Chupacabra, is a fast, fire-immune attacker that regenerates slowly, breaks blocks, boats, and minecarts, and preys on cows, sheep, chickens, pigs, and villagers. The mod also adds a Skinwalker Mask, a craftable and reversible Skinwalker Trophy, and drops including the Skinwalker Eye, Bone, and Flesh, which can be brewed into a potion granting Night Vision, Regeneration III, and Strength III. Skinwalkers can drop an enchanted iron axe, a behavior that can be switched off with a gamerule; a separate gamerule controls whether the Chupacabra breaks blocks. Cursed content includes Cursed Ore, a full set of ore tools and weapons, Cursed Armor with a broad range of status effects, and a Cursed House whose Villager’s Diary provides its history. The Cursed Sword inflicts Wither III and Slowness III on hit, and Cursed Ore generation can be toggled with a gamerule. Additional items and enemies include Alien Flesh, an Alien Spike, an Alien Sword and Shield, a Cursed Villager, and a Red Cursed Sword.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds:
Counted from the files of the mod. Content made only in its code is not counted.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
